Leadership Experience

I am a professional Engineer who has excelled in technical engineering, leadership and management roles within BAE Systems and Frazer-Nash Consultancy Limited over the last 25 years.

I was recently selected to provide the technical and delivery management of the induction of a large number of Engineers that are not typical to Frazer-Nash. This opportunity was a new process to the company and presents an opportunity for a step change in company turn over and hence required a leader with a broad and detailed company knowledge as well as strong interpersonal skills at all levels with the ability to work well with people within and outside of Frazer-Nash. I also (for a period)  maintained my previous role within Frazer-Nash Consultancy where I managed a Technical Area of 46 staff ranging from Engineer to Principal Consultant/Group Leader grades. Over seven years I developed the Technical Area of six Group Leaders (x2 Nuclear, x2 Facility and Plant, Defence Safety and Environmental Safety) and had sustainably increased a balanced portfolio from £4M to £6.8M Turn Over.

I feel that I can take a Technical Area to new heights of sustainable business balance and profitability by harnessing good culture, processes and managed positive reinforcement and encouragement.

As well as managing the Safety and Environmental Technical Area I also provide peer review and Independent Safety Advisor/Auditor (ISA) roles and was also responsible for financial management, resourcing, training/development and growth of the Technical Area.

I believe in providing Engineers the full depth and breadth of experience in consultancy from business development through prospect investigation, proposal development, contract negotiation, project management, quality assurance, invoicing and project closure/review. I have therefore gained a wide range of experience within and leading in all of these areas and am an experienced coach, mentor and manager.

I would be happy to discuss such roles either as a caretaker or long term targeted resource.

Well done Amjad; glad to see you are up and running. Looking forward to working with you again in the future.

Exciting times Amjad. I'm certain you'll be a success and I look forward to working with you in the future I hope. A big reason I joined FNC 10 years ago (after you said yes at the first IV - massive thanks!) was that I could tell you really cared about your team, colleagues and customers. I believe those  traits are not always that common but are key to success, so I know you'll do well.

Wishing you every success in your new venture Amjad. With your professional approach, knowledge and experience I’m sure you’ll do well. Keep in touch and all the best.

Amjad sending best wishes for the new venture. Having worked with you over many years and witnessed first hand the quality of safety and environmental work I have no doubt you will make a huge success of the new opportunity.

We will miss you at Frazer-Nash but wish you the very best of luck (not that you’ll need it - you’re blooming brilliant!).

Congratulations Amjad! You were the reason I have stayed as long as I have at FNC. I am sure you’ll enjoy this new challenge and I have no doubt we’ll be working together in some capacity in the future.

Big news! I have worked with  you for very many years, and always been impressed with the knowledge, experience and professionalism you apply to your work. Best wishes in your new venture. Do shout if I can be of any help.

Good luck Amjad, your knowledge will be greatly valued in the industry.

Good luck Amjad. Wishing you every success in your new adventure. It has been a pleasure working with you for the last 15 years {doesn’t time fly when you’re having fun}. Keep in touch.
